To kind of follow up on a post of mine from a couple weeks ago, there have been new Impossible Game levels released! The new ones have a lot better music, in my opinion.
Only a dollar's worth of microsoft points if you have Xbox Live!

Income Inequality in the United States

Following up on the recent filibuster by Bernie Sanders (Sen. VT-I) on the tax breaks given to the ultra-rich on inheritance and estate tax, I researched income inequality in the United States, and found some pretty interesting stuff on the income inequality here. Its really kinda sad. Some say that income inequality drives innovation, hard-work, and efficient work. I personally think it attributes to many sad factors in society, and the widespread idea that workers don't really deserve to share in national productivity gains because it's management that's really responsible for them.

Here is a graph on how much of the income the ultra-rich (the top 1% of all income earners) control.
Percent on the left, by year from 1917 to 2005, Top 1%(blue), top .1%(pink) and top .01%(yellow)

So basically, the 1920's could be comparable to the 1995-2008 era, a rather large increase of wealth into the hands of a small portion of the population. While the GDP per capita of the whole nation rose, it was normally by a large amount of wealth into less hands. The increase of wealth in the past few decades have been mostly into the hands of the few. This graph shows that since the Reagan era, there have mostly been gains in the wealthiest percent of the nation.

I don't know if the recent tax breaks, which lose potentially 700 billion in revenue by lowering estate taxes on the top .3 percent of our nation, can help this situation at all.

What do you guys think?

Sanders Filibuster Begins...

I'm personally disgusted by the income inequality in the US. So when I see a Senator like Bernie Sanders going wild like this with facts, numbers, etc, It really gets my heart going, haha. I don't know what you guys will think, but I hope you enjoy it.

Just awesome talent, this kid makes an instrument out of PVC pipe

Truly one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen when it comes to musical talent.

Racist White Woman Calls UPS Man A *Nigger*

Just a shocking and disgusting video of a racist, white woman(who adamantly claims she's not racist) verbally abusing a black(sounds West African by the accent) UPS guy. She also slaps him(around 2:00 in the vid). The guy does an amazing job keeping his cool, props to him.
My Favorite Quote at around 1:45 in the video
Racist White Lady: "They'll kill you"
UPS Man: "Why do you want to kill me, ma'am?"
RWL: "I don't, but they will"
UPS: "Who?"
RWL: "The white people"

Fox News, Their Posts, and Their Commenters

to let the whole story be summarized, I'll let the onion take over:

Most people recognize The Onion as the Peabody Award-winning satire machine that it is. Some people, however, don’t. Which is why we get a story like this every few months. Of course, it’s sometimes easy to mistake an Onion article for the real thing since the writers make sure to skew as close to their targets as possible. It also doesn’t hurt when real news outlets reprint the satirists’ work and decide not to let their readers know it’s a joke, as Fox Nation did today.
Yes, the Fox Nation editors were apparently so enamored with an Onion piece from today entitled “Frustrated Obama Sends Nation Rambling 75,000-Word E-Mail” that they reposted the first two paragraphs in their culture section with nary a sign as to its fictional nature. The only clue that this wasn’t real (besides a quick peek at your inbox to confirm that Barack Obama hasn’t been emailing you) was a link at the bottom instructing readers to go to TheOnion.com for the real story. This tiny link was, unfortunately, not enough for the vast majority of FN readers. At least, that’s the way it seems from the comments section.
Here’s a sampling:
“If this story is correct, that he did send out this email, it is very concerning about his current state of mental health. I am surprised he would be allowed to send something like this out and if he is not functioning very well why there isn’t some attention being paid to his current state.”
“Hey, you fraud: Get out. Your presidency is an affront to the exceptionalism of America. Pathetic loser.”
“HAHAHAHAHAHA OBUMMA – Un-raveled. EPIC FAILURE. IMPEACH it.”
In fact, at the time of this post’s writing, you have to scroll through 20 comments to find someone who realizes the story’s fake. Five comments below that there’s actually someone (sarcastically?) saying they emailed The Onion for confirmation on the story.
Whether Fox Nation reposted this story without a disclaimer accidentally, as a prank, or because of something more sinister, we’ll leave up to you decide. However, Fox Nation should be aware that, sad as it may be, not everyone is familiar with the brilliance that is The Onion. And for every one of my aunts who forwards me this article today, I’m going to be very, very angry at them.
Here’s a screenshot of the post before it’s (hopefully) taken down. Click through twice to get full size:

And you thought Chuck Norris was cool.

Parkour - the most Insane Sport I know

This guy is either extremely brave or crazy. Regardless, this video is pretty sick. I wouldn't personally jump between rooftops 10 floors up, but I could probably jump around the patio at my house real well.

The Impossible Game Trailer

I have the problem of wasting too much of my "school work" time on video games but none is so guilty as the impossible game. Its addictive, its difficult, and I love it anyway

I have the feeling...

that my blog is just going to be a collection of funny pictures :(
I hope you're all okay with that

Scanning Fine Art

Hello, my name is Jason and I scan fine art. People often ask me about the best techniques for scanning fine art and I have compiled this handy reference for successful fine art scanning.

Dear Jason:

Q. Dear Jason, sometimes I scan fine art when I am at work, is this normal or should I see someone about it? Thanks, Chris.
A. Scanning fine art at work is completely normal Chris, I am currently scanning fine art as I write this. My favourite place to scan fine art is in public places such as movie theatres and playgrounds. Sometimes when I scan fine art I like to imagine I am on stage or speaking at a conference.

Q. Dear Jason, Sometimes I think about firemen when I am scanning fine art. Is this normal? Rob.
A. It is perfectly normal Rob, I often imagine i am a fire man or army man when I am scanning fine art. Here is a photo of me in my Peter Pan costume:

Q. Dear Jason, I have heard that scanning fine art too much can cause blindness. Is this true or did someone make that up? Cheers, Mike.
A. Hello Mike, I can honestly say there is no truth to this rumour. I regularly scan fine art thirty to forty times a day with no negative results. Once, during back to back episodes of the Gilmore Girls, I scanned fine art one hundred and twelve times with no adverse effects.

Q. Dear Jason, I am left handed and I was wondering if this will affect my ability to scan fine art effectively. Best, Steve.
A. Being left handed is an advantage Steve, I myself am right handed but use my left leaving my mouse hand free.
